It places importance on presenting information which aims to study, understand and explain human behaviors for the development of individuals, organizations, communities and societies. The development should lead to implications for policy making at organizational, regional or national level. </p> <p align="justify">Journal of Behavioral Science for Development is a biannual journal that is published in the months of January and July of every year and publishes articles only in Thai language. The accepted papers must be high-quality, and must be evaluated and accepted by at least 3 experts using a double blind peer review process. Papers submitted should not have been published before, and the content should be current. The study based on technical action research, collecting data by interviewing and observation, analyzing data by clustering, classify, encode and draw conclusions from the findings. The research participants, include 14 guardians who play a close role in caring for children and youths with acute lymphoblastic leukemia, and 3 experts. The result of the model for promoting family resilience identified four processes: 1) Researchers and experts gain an understanding of the process and factors related to family resilience, including the need for family development from guardians. 2) Researchers provide social support and create awareness of social support sources for guardians. 3) Researchers reinforce positive feelings and thoughts in both themselves and the guardians' surrounding people. 4) Guardians share their family resilience experiences with new guardians, resulting in changes in the three-dimensional model for promoting family resilience, including knowledge and understanding, emotional, and behavioral family resilience. The results of this study on the model for promoting family resilience with guardians of children and youths diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia can be further applied and utilized by guardians in future crisis situations. Additionally, interdisciplinary teams or public health organizations can apply this model to enhance services provided to families of patients in the future.</p> Surangkana Suparit Thasuk Junprasert Nanchatsan Sakunpong Copyright (c) 2024 Journal of Behavioral Science for Development http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 2024-01-30 2024-01-30 16 1 1 24 Effect of IT Mindfulness Enhancement Program in Reducing Technostress in Media Agency Employees https://so02.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/JBSD/article/view/263797 <p>The current study aimed to examine the effectiveness of the IT mindfulness program among media agency employees by measuring mean scores of IT mindfulness, technostress, employee well-being, and job satisfaction before and after joining the program. The researcher developed the program by integrating literature on IT mindfulness and its elements consisting of the alertness to distinction (AD), the awareness of multiple perspectives (AP), and the openness to novelty (ON) incorporating the Mindfulness Experiential Learning Theory. Participants were 30 media agency employees purposefully selected to join the intervention program. Data were analyzed with SEM. The results showed that the mean scores of IT mindfulness and employee well-being of the experimental group after joining the program were significantly higher than before joining the program (<em>d</em> = -.56, <em>p</em> &lt; .05) and (<em>d</em> = -.39, <em>p</em> &lt; .05), respectively. The mean score of technostress of the experimental group after joining the program was significantly lower than before joining the program (<em>d</em> = .59, <em>p</em> &lt; .05). Learning from the current program could benefit heavy-tech organizations and their employees. The content of the program could be applied to mitigate technostress and increase employee well-being in organizations.</p> Dew Intapunya Kanu Priya Mohan Copyright (c) 2024 Journal of Behavioral Science for Development http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 2024-01-30 2024-01-30 16 1 25 46 Creating of Spiritual Leadership Program for Leaders in a Healthcare Organization https://so02.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/JBSD/article/view/266740 <p>This study design applied the quasi - experimental research with randomized pretest-posttest control group design and primarily aims to develop a spiritual leadership program as well as to develop and validate a handbook on training spiritual leadership for leaders in a healthcare organizations. The study participants consisted of 62 leaders in a healthcare organizations (i.e., executives, managers, and those who were prepare to be promoted to manager or executive). The participants were divided into two groups, 32 participants were in the experimental group and 30 were in the control group by simple random sampling. Both quantitative and qualitative data collection were performed. Results: 1) the program and handbook on training spiritual leadership for leaders in organizations were obtained. This program consisted of four modules: module 1 connectedness to self and one’s own spirituality, module 2 connectedness to others and society, module 3 development of spiritual leadership, and module 4 follow-up after spiritual leadership training. 2) For the try-out to validate the effectiveness of training program, results revealed that spiritual leadership of the leaders attending the spiritual leadership program was significantly higher than those who did not attend the program (p &lt; .05). In addition, results of the qualitative data revealed that the leaders who attended the program had greater knowledge and understanding about spiritual leadership. The population is grade 9 students from schools under the Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC). The sample has been obtained through a purposive sampling method. The research is divided into 3 phases. Phase 1 is to develop the conceptual framework, synthesize the components of happiness in mathematics learning and analyze their content validity. There are 7 components of happiness in mathematics learning including 1) accomplishment, 2) cognition, 3) engagement, 4) meaningfulness, 5) perseverance, 6) pleasure, and 7) relationship. Index of Item-Objective Congruence ranges from .67 to 1.00. Phase 2 is to preliminary inspection of tool quality. A sample of 33 cases, using purposive sampling. The Cronbach's alpha coefficient of the entire mathematics learning happiness measure is .913 and the Corrected Item-Total Correlation (CITC) ranges from.050 to .862. Then, 2 questions have been eliminated, leaving 24 questions in the scale. Phase 3 is to investigate the tool quality. A sample of 480 cases, using multi-stage sampling. Construct validity has been analyzed using Second Order Confirmatory Factor Analysis. It has been found that the measurement model is in good agreement with the empirical data, in which Chi-square value is different from zero at the .05 significant level ((230, N = 480) = 508.45, = 2.211, p = .061, CFI =0.990, GFI = .920, AGFI = .900, SRMR = .0042, RMSEA = .0480).
