Aims and scope

Journal of Hematology and Transfusion Medicine is a quarterly peer-reviewed journal that encourages ongoing international research and exchange of scientific literature among peers through publication of research, review, case report, short communication and editorial. The articles related to the most recent advancement in the field would be very supportive for the researchers, scholars and academicians in hematology and transfusion medicine.  All the articles published online are made publicly available in the PDF files for free-of-charge.

 Journal of Hematology and Transfusion Medicine is an official Journal of the Thai Society of Hematology and the National Blood Centre, Thai Red Cross Society. However, contributions written in English are welcomed from around the world, submit your manuscript using our online submission system or on the website at https://www.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/JHematolTransfusMed. There are no fees for all types of artcles for publication. 

 

Research and publication ethics

All human and animal research studies must be reviewed and approved by the author’s Institutional Review Board (IRB). The clinical trials must be registered in a public registry prior to enrollment, the journal accepts public registry that follow the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) clinical trial registration policy (https://www.icmje.org).The clinical research involving human subjects must comply with the Declaration of Helsinki https://www.wma.net/en/20activities/10ethics/10helsinki/.

The author should be checked your manuscript before submit to the journal, to confirm that none of the parts of the manuscript is plagiarized from any other sources. The corresponding author must complete the journal form for Disclosure of Potential Conflicts of Interest and submit the form on behalf of all co-authors.

Roles and Responsibilities of Authors

The author should be checked the manuscript before submit to the journal, to confirm that

  1. The manuscript is an original work and has not been previously published or submitted elsewhere for consideration.
  2. The research data and results are not manipulated or fabricated.
  3. Data, images, words or ideas taken from the works of others should be properly acknowledged and the sourced of content must always be cited.  A list of references must be written according to the journal’s format and be placed at the end of the manuscript.
  4. The manuscript was prepared correctly according to “Author Guidelines”.
  5. Each author whose name appears on the manuscript were significantly participate in conducting the research or writing the manuscript.
  6. All sources of research funding and conflict of interest were disclosed.

Roles and Responsibilities of Editors

  1. The editors are responsible for determining the quality of all manuscripts that are published in the journal. After the editorial review process, the editors should make the decision to select the manuscripts for publication based on significance, relevance, clarity and consistency of the content with the editorial policies
  2. The editors must keep all information of the authors and reviewers confidential during the review process of a manuscript.
  3. The editors must not accept any manuscripts that have been previously published and have conflicts of interest with authors, reviewers, and editorial management team.
  4. The editors should use a reliable program to check plagiarism of the manuscripts.

If plagiarism is detected, the editors will terminate the review process and immediately contact the corresponding author for clarification before making the decision to “accept” or “reject” the manuscript.

Roles and Responsibilities of Reviewers

  1. After receiving a manuscript from the editors, if the reviewers realize that they may have conflicts of interest with the authors, resulting from collaboration, relationship, connection, or other reasons that may lead to bias or inability to provide independent opinions and suggestions, they should notify the editors and refuse to review the manuscript immediately.
  2. During the editorial review process, the reviewers must keep all information of the manuscript confidential.
  3. The reviewers should review a manuscript based on its significance of the content in the relation to the field of study, the quality of analysis, and the intensity of results. Unsupported personal opinions should not be used as a basis for judging the manuscript.
  4. The reviewers should identify plagiarisms, if the authors do not provide citations. Also, if any part of the manuscript is identical with or duplicated from other articles, the reviewers must notify the editors immediately.

Manuscript preparation

Manuscripts should be submitted in the format of Microsoft Word, the body text should be typed in Angsana UPC, using font size 16 with 1.5 line spacing and number all pages in sequence.

Type of articles

Original Article: All submitted manuscripts being considered for publication undergo peer-review by at least three reviewers who are experts in the field of your research. The original articles should be no more than 5,000 words in length and should contain the following sections:

- Title page that includes the full title, short running title of 75 characters with space, name(s) and affiliation(s) of all author(s), email address, telephone and fax numbers of the corresponding author. 

- Abstract is a concise summary of your research that includes the objective, materials and methods, results, conclusion and at least 2 and up to 5 keywords. The length is limited to 250 words.

- Discussion 

- Conclusion 

- Acknowledgment 

- References 

- Tables 

- Figures and Figure legends

 Literature Review: Literature review is  generally solicited by the Editor-in-Chief, however, authors who wish to submit a review article are invited to contact the editorial office prior to submission. The review articles should be no longer than 5,000 words and should include the following sections:

     - Introduction

     - Text

     - Conclusion

     - References

 Case Report: Submissions will be considered for publication by the editor. Case reports should contain the briefly review the relevant literature, the text is limited to 5,000 words and must include the following sections;

- Abstract should be concise, contain no more than 250 words and 2- 5 keywords are required.

- Introduction

- Text

- Conclusion

- References

 Short Communication: Short communication is a brief summary of recently updated articles from high quality journals in Hematology. It is usually written by editorial team.

 Editorial: Editorial is generally written by Editorial Board members that focuses on the issues related to the publishing articles.

Image File: Image file of Hematology should be submitted in JPEG format.  Images should have a minimum resolution of 600 dpi or higher.
