Happiness and Well-being of Thai Agriculturists

Abstract

Objectives :To study happiness and well-being of Thai agriculturists in crossbred chicken production and distribution under agricultural organic system.

Mothod :The study was conducted among 200 agriculturists from Prasat District, Surin Province. Divided into 2 groups, one group participated in project of crossbred chicken production and distribution under agricultural organic system, while the other group did not. The tool of this research was Happiness and Well-being Questionnaire.

Results :(1) the participated agriculturists group, it was found that the score of happiness scale was moderate before study taken, but high afterward. (2) As for the subject of well-being, it was found that the score for the participated group remain

high both before and after the study. Moreover the result revealed that the score of well-being for the participated group of agriculturists was significantly higher than that of the non–participated group at .01 level both the whole and also for each domain;economic, social, family, health and culture/belief.

Conelusion :Thai agriculturists in crossbred chieken production and distribution under agricultural organic system have happiness and well being.
