Abstract

การสร้างเสริมพลังอำนาจทางสุขภาพเป็นกระบวนการที่ช่วยเสริมสร้างความสามารถและพัฒนาศักยภาพของบุคคลครอบครัว ชุมชน ในการควบคุมปัจจัยต่าง ๆ ที่มีผลกระทบต่อสุขภาพ สามารถเลือกใช้แหล่งประโยชน์ และดำเนินกิจกรรมต่างๆเพื่อรักษาไว้ซึ่งสุขภาพที่ดีทั้งร่างกายและจิตใจ บทบาทของพยาบาลในการเสริมสร้างพลังอำนาจทางสุขภาพ เป็นการสร้างเสริมพลังใจให้บุคคล ครอบครัว ชุมชน ตระหนักรู้ และเห็นความสำคัญของสุขภาพ หันกลับมาดูแลเอาใจใส่เรื่องสุขภาพ ไม่เพียงแต่การป้องกันตนเองไม่ให้เจ็บป่วย แต่จะมุ่งสร้างเสริมสุขภาพที่ดีด้วย พยาบาลจึงจำเป็นต้องสร้างแรงจูงใจให้กับผู้รับบริการเรียนรู้มองเห็นคุณค่าของตนเองด้วยการมีสัมพันธภาพที่ดี ทำให้ผู้รับบริการไว้วางใจให้ผู้รับบริการมีส่วนร่วมในการตัดสินใจ และเสริมพลังให้เชื่อมั่นในการดูแลตนเอง โดยที่พยาบาลคอยช่วยเหลือจัดการอย่างใกล้ชิดและต่อเนื่อง จนกระทั่งผู้รับบริการมีความเชื่อมั่นที่จะดูแลตนเองได้ และมีการเปลี่ยนแปลงพฤติกรรมสุขภาพที่ดีขึ้น

Health empowerment is a process that enhances abilities and capacity of individuals, families and communities to control factors that inflence their health, take advantage of sources of benefis, and do activities in order to maintain sound physical and mental health. Health empowerment deals with promoting mental power of individuals, families, and communities to ensure that they are aware of the importance of health and take care of their health, not only by protecting themselves from sickness but also by promoting their health. Nurses need to improve patients’ motivation to learn about, and realize, their own value. Creating a good relationship with patients will result in their trust, participation in decision-making, and confience in self-care. Nurses will assist them closely and continuously so that they have the confience to take care of themselves and change health behaviors in a better way.
