บทคัดย่อ

Objective The quasi-experimental research aimed to study the effect of group reality therapy on self-esteem of patients with alcohol-induced psychosis in Suansaranrom
Hospital, Suratthani Province.

Materials and methods  Patients with alcohol-induced admitted to Suansaranrom Hospital during October to November 2004 were purposived selected. There were
10 patients entered to the group reality therapy protocol developed by researchers. Demographic data were collected.  A self-esteem inventory was applied before and
after the group therapy.

Results  The difference of mean score of the self-esteem inventory was statistically significant.

Conclusion The group reality therapy protocol developed in this study enhanced the self-esteem of patients with alcohol-induced psychosis.
