Type of Manuscripts
          The types of contributions include Research Manuscript, Journal Manuscript, Review Manuscript, and Book Review, The submitted manuscript must be unpublished work and must not be currently under consideration for publication elsewhere.

Peer Review Process

All submitted manuscripts must be revlewed by least two expert reviewers via the double-blinded review system.

 Publication Guidelines and Authors’ Ethics

1. The editorial board screens the manuscript submitted for publication.

2. All research articles submitted for publication, will be assessed for their content validity and academic quality by at least 2-3 distinguished reviewers from different institutions.

3. The manuscript sent to the editors for consideration will not be returned back to the author.

4. Authors must agree to the journal publication rules and allow the editors to edit the manuscripts for publication.
5. Author’s right belongs to the author but Journal of Southern Technology holds the right of first publication and thus allow readers to use the article for the purpose of education but not commercial.
6. Authors must submit original work that has not been previously published in any other journals.
7. The manuscript submitted for publication is not under consideration process for publication of other journals.
8. A manuscript submitted must be the original work of the author. Whenever the author includes others’ ideas, appropriated citation must be given.
9. The author must prepare the manuscript according to the template as set in the journal submission guidelines.
10. The author must revise and correct their manuscript according to the comments given by reviewers assigned by the journal.

    11. After the revision, the editors will reexamine the manuscript for consideration of acceptance. The right of consideration for publication belongs to the editors.

    12. The responsibility belongs to the author and the manuseript must be the original work.

Journal History

           The Journal of Southern Technology was first published in January 2008. It was acknowledged by the Higher Education Commission in 2012 as a national-level journal in humanities and social sciences listed in Group 2 Thailand Citation Index (TCI) database until December 31, 2014. It was later indexed in the Humanities and Social Sciences field in Group 1 TCI database from January 1, 2015, until December 31, 2019. On November 1, 2018, it was also qualified for the ASEAN Citation Index (ACI) in Social Sciences, Business, Management, Accounting, Health Professions, Psychology, and Interdisciplinary. On January 1, 2020, it was accepted for indexing in Group 2 TCI database until December 31, 2024. As a TCI-indexed journal, its academic quality was re-assessed for the fourth round (2020-2024) and the second time (2021-2024), after which it was promoted to Group 1 from Group 2 TCI database with effect from January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2023. Beginning in December 2021, the journal has offered only five sub-subject area options based on its aims and scope, including Management Information System (MIS), Tourism: Recreation and Services, Education, Health (Social Sciences), and Politics and International Relations.

            The Journal of Southern Technology has two publication formats: printed (ISSN: 1906-0807) and electronic (ISSN: 2539-7281). The printed format began its 1st volume with the 1st issue (January-June, 2008) until its 9th volume with the 2nd issue (July-December, 2016), and the electronic format started its 10th volume with the 1st issue (January-June, 2017) until its 15th volume with the 2nd issue (July-December, 2022). The new ISSN number (2985-0045) is applied to the electronic format starting from the 1st issue of the 16th volume (January-December, 2023).

There has been four Editors as follows.

          2) Assistant Professor Puangnoi Lohakhachornpan (2009-2010, 2011 Volume 1, 1 January-June and 2012 Volume 2 July-December)

          3) Assistant Professor Dr. Sannan Tantiukoskula Akarawong (July-December 2011, Volume 2)

          4) Professor emeritus Dr. Nitsri  Sangduen ( 2012 Volume 2 July-Present ) 2012, 2013, 2014

 Year 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016  2017 and 2018 earned Thai Journal Impact Factors 0.071, 0.146, 0.265, 0.296, 0.221 and 0.153 respectively.

Submission Fee
         The administration fee for each manuscript processing is 3,500 Baht by transferred to Bangkok Bank, Thung Song Branch, Account number 349-0-7-2630-8 and Account name “Southern College of Technology” and then send slip to [email protected] and will inform via author’s e-mail.

Payment can be made via bank transfer to the following:

     All articles submitted to Southern College of Technology will be subject to a charge of 3,500 baht per manuscript. The charge is payable once your paper is editorially accepted for further peer review evaluation.
