Sixteen postpartum mothers in the experimental group received the breastfeeding promoting program while the other 16 mothers in the control group received routine breastfeeding support. Knowledge, attitudes, and breastfeeding skills were measured 2 times; pre-test at 8-12 hours after childbirth and post-test at 14 days postpartum. T-test and Chi-square were used for data analyzed. The results showed that at 14 days after childbirth, the experimental group had better post-test scores on knowledge, attitude, and skill in the breastfeeding and better than the control group. The proportion of the exclusive breastfeeding mothers was also statistically higher among mothers in the experimental group than control group (p < 0.01).
