การจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ วิชาการกำจัดขยะมูลฝอยและสิ่งปฏิกูล ด้วยรูปแบบการเรียนรู้โดยใช้ปัญหาเป็นฐาน

บทคัดย่อ

การศึกษาครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อพัฒนาการเรียนการสอน รายวิชา 4063408 การกำจัดขยะมูลฝอยและสิ่งปฏิกูล ด้วยรูปแบบการเรียนรู้โดยใช้ปัญหาเป็นฐาน และพัฒนาผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนวิชาการกำจัดขยะมูลฝอยและสิ่งปฏิกูล เรื่อง ระบบการจัดการมูลฝอย กลุ่มเป้าหมายเป็นนักศึกษาชั้นปีที่ 4 หลักสูตรวิทยาศาสตร์สิ่งแวดล้อมจำนวน 56 คน ที่ลงทะเบียนรายวิชาการกำจัดขยะมูลฝอยและสิ่งปฏิกูล ในภาคเรียนที่ 1 ปีการศึกษา 2551 เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยประกอบด้วย 1) แผนการสอนรูปแบบการใช้ปัญหาเป็นฐาน เรื่องระบบการจัดการมูลฝอย 2) แบบวัดลักษณะการเรียนรู้ด้วยตนเอง 3) เครื่องมือวัดผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียน และ 4) แบบวัดความพึงพอใจต่อการเรียนการสอน วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลด้วยค่าสถิติพื้นฐาน ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย และส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน

ผลการพัฒนาการเรียนการสอน รายวิชา 4063408 การกำจัดขยะมูลฝอยและสิ่งปฏิกูล ด้วยรูปแบบการเรียนรู้โดยใช้ปัญหาเป็นฐาน สรุปได้ดังนี้ 1) นักศึกษามีลักษณะการเรียนรู้ด้วยตนเองสูงมากในด้านความต้องการเรียนรู้สิ่งใหม่อยู่เสมอ มีความกระตือรือร้นในการเรียน รู้สึกสนุกกับการค้นหาคำตอบเกี่ยวกับปัญหาต่างๆ 2) นักศึกษามีผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนสูงกว่าก่อนเรียนอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 และนักศึกษาจำนวน 47 คน คิดเป็นร้อยละ 83.93ของนักศึกษาทั้งหมด มีคะแนนผ่านเกณฑ์ร้อยละ 60 ของคะแนนเต็ม 3) นักศึกษามีความพึงพอใจต่อการเรียนแบบใช้ปัญหาเป็นฐาน ในด้านที่อาจารย์ไม่ใช้วิธีการบรรยายเนื้อหาให้แก่นักศึกษา มีการใช้คำถามกระตุ้นให้นักศึกษาค้นหาคำตอบด้วยตนเอง

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to develop learning activities based on problem-based learning(PBL) and to develop students’ learning achievement on the topic of Garbage Disposal Management System inthe Garbage and Solid Wastes Disposal Course. The target group consisted of 56 fourth year students in theEnvironmental Science Program, who enrolled for the the Garbage and Solid Wastes Disposal Course in thefirst semester of the 2008 academic year. The employed research instruments included (1) lesson plans basedon problem-based learning on the topic of Garbage Disposal Management System; (2) a scale to assess individual self learning; (3) a learning achievement test; and (4) a questionnaire to assess student’s satisfactionwith problem-based learning. The data collected were statistically analyzed with the use of basic statistics ofpercentage, arithmetic mean, and standard deviation.

The findings of this research could be concluded as follows: (1) The students had characteristics of selflearning at the very high level. Especially, they always wanted to learn new things with enthusiasm for learningand enjoyed the search for answers to solve the problems. (2) The students’ post-learning achievement testscores were significantly higher than their pre-learning counterparts at the .05 level, and 47 students or 83.93percent of the total number of students obtained scores passing the criterion of 60 percent of the full score.(3) The students were satisfied with problem-based learning in the aspect of the instructor refraining fromlecturing but using questions instead to encourage students to find answers to problems by themselves.
