ประสบการณ์ของมารดาในการจัดการเม่อื บุตรมีภาวะไข้

บทคัดย่อ

การศึกษาครั้งนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ เพื่อบรรยายประสบการณ์ของมารดาในการจัดการเมื่อ

บุตรมีภาวะไข้ คัดเลือกผู้ให้ข้อมูลแบบเฉพาะเจาะจง โดยเป็นมารดาของเด็กที่ เคยมีภาวะไข้ ที่มารับบริการ

ในศูนย์พัฒนาเด็กเล็กแห่งหนึ่ง เขตอำเภอเมือง จังหวัดชลบุรี จำนวน 15 ราย เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลโดยใช้การ

สัมภาษณ์แบบเจาะลึก และวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลด้วยวิธีการวิเคราะห์เชิงเนื้อหา

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า มารดามีการรับรู้เกี่ยวกับการจัดการเมื่อบุตรมีภาวะไข้ สามารถสรุป

เป็น 3 ประเด็นหลัก คือ 1) ความรู้สึกเมื่อ ลูกมีไข้ ประกอบด้วย 2 ประเด็นย่อย ได้แก่ เป็นห่วง กังวลและ

กลัว และสงสาร 2) สาเหตุท่ที ำให้ลูกมีไข้ ประกอบด้วย 6 ประเด็นย่อย ได้แก่ เป็นหวัดมาก่อน ติดเชื้อ

สภาพอากาศที่เปลี่ยนแปลง การเล่นนำ จากหลายสาเหตุ และไม่ทราบสาเหตุ และ 3) การจัดการเมื่อ ลูก

มีไข้ ประกอบด้วย 4 ประเด็นย่อย คือ ให้ยาลดไข้ เช็ดตัวลดไข้ ใช้แผ่นเจลแปะ และให้ดื่มนํ้ามากๆ ผลการ

ศึกษาในครั้งนี้ทำให้เข้าใจประสบการณ์ของมารดาในการจัดการเมื่อบุตรมีภาวะไข้ ซึ่ง สามารถนำมาเป็น

ข้อมูลพื้นฐานในการวางแผนเพื่อส่งเสริมมารดาในการดูแลเด็กที่มีภาวะไข้ได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพมากยิ่งขึ้น

Experiences of Mothers in Management of their Children with Fever

Abstract

     The purpose of this qualitative research was to describe the experience of mothers in management of their children with fever. Participants were purposively selected to include 15 mothers of children receiving service in a child development center in Muang district, Chon Buri province. Data were collected by in-depth interviews. Content analysis was employed to analyze the data.
     The results regarding mothers’ perceptions about management of their children with fever can be divided into three themes. First, “feeling about having fever” consisted of two categories: worry, anxiety and fear; and pity. Second, the “causes of fever” contained 6 categories: catch a cold, infection, climate change, swimming, several causes, and unidentified cause. Third, “managing children with fever” included 4 categories: giving antipyretic drugs, tepid sponge, taking a cold gel, and drinking a lot of water. These findings increase understanding about experiences of mothers in management of their children with fever. These could be used as baseline data for planning an effective intervention to promote mothers in taking care of their children with fever.
