ในการป้องกันการตั้งครรภ์ของวัยรุ่นในจังหวัดสระบุรี

บทคัดย่อ

 การวิจัยเชิงสำรวจ (survey research) ในครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาพฤติกรรมทางเพศและปัจจัยที่มีความสัมพันธ์กับความตั้งใจในการป้องกันการตั้งครรภ์ของวัยรุ่นในจังหวัดสระบุรี เลือกกลุ่มตัวอย่างแบบสุ่มหลายขั้นตอน (Multi – Stage Random Sampling) เป็นนักเรียนที่กำลังศึกษาในระดับมัธยมศึกษาตอนต้น จำนวน 215 คน ระดับมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลาย จำนวน 293 คน และระดับอาชีวศึกษา (ปวช.) จำนวน 270 คน รวมทั้งหมด 779 คน โดยใช้แบบสอบถามข้อมูลส่วนบุคคล แบบสอบถามพฤติกรรมทางเพศและความตั้งใจในการป้องกันการตั้งครรภ์ มีค่าความเชื่อมั่นของแบบสอบถามเท่ากับ .90 วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้ความถี่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ยและส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และChi-square ผลการวิจัย พบว่า ร้อยละ 19.5 (152 คน) เคยมีเพศสัมพันธ์มาแล้ว ร้อยละ 40.8 ที่เริ่มมีเพศสัมพันธ์ครั้งแรกเมื่ออายุ 15 ปี ร้อยละ 7.2 อายุต่ำสุดที่เริ่มมีเพศสัมพันธ์ครั้งแรกคือ 13 ปี ร้อยละ 2.0 อายุมากสุดที่เริ่มมีเพศสัมพันธ์ครั้งแรก คือ 18 ปี ร้อยละ 12.5 ไม่เคยใช้ถุงยางอนามัยเมื่อมีเพศสัมพันธ์ ร้อยละ 53.3 ใช้ถุงยางอนามัยเมื่อมีเพศสัมพันธ์บางครั้ง ส่วนใหญ่ (ร้อยละ 34.2) ใช้ถุงยางอนามัยเมื่อมีเพศสัมพันธ์ กลุ่มตัวอย่างมีความตั้งใจในการป้องกันการตั้งครรภ์โดยรวมในระดับดี (= 3.70, S.D. =.52) วัยรุ่นหญิงควรปฏิเสธการมีเพศสัมพันธ์เมื่อไม่มีการป้องกันการตั้งครรภ์        (= 4.33, S.D. =1.10) เป็นความตั้งใจสูงสุด ส่วน ความรู้เรื่องการใช้ถุงยางอนามัยจะทำให้วัยรุ่นมีเพศสัมพันธ์มากขึ้น (= 2.79, S.D. =1.36) เป็นความตั้งใจระดับต่ำสุด ปัจจัยที่มีความสัมพันธ์กับความตั้งใจในการป้องกันการตั้งครรภ์ของวัยรุ่นอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .001 ได้แก่ อายุ การศึกษา รายได้เฉลี่ยของครอบครัวต่อเดือน การอยู่ร่วมกันของบิดามารดาและปัญหาที่ทำให้ไม่สบายใจของวัยรุ่น

ผลจากการศึกษานี้ทำให้เข้าใจถึงสภาพการณ์พฤติกรรมทางเพศและความตั้งใจในการป้องกันการตั้งครรภ์ของวัยรุ่นในจังหวัดสระบุรีเพื่อใช้เป็นแนวทางในการพัฒนารูปแบบการให้บริการส่งเสริมสุขภาวะทางเพศและเพศวิถีศึกษาของวัยรุ่นต่อไป

Sexual behaviors and factors correlated with the intention of protection

in teenage pregnancy, Saraburi province

ABSTRACT

           The objectives of this survey research were to investigate sexual behavior and other factors correlated with the intention of preventing and protecting against teen pregnancy in Saraburi province.  Multiple stages of a random sampling method were used to recruit samples. The sample of 779 students consisted of 215, 293 and 270 students from secondary school, high school, and vocational college, respectively. The questionnaire was used to collect demographic data, sexual behavior information and factors related to intention of preventing pregnancy. The reliability of the questionnaire was 0.90. Descriptive statistics in terms of the mean and standard deviation and chi-square were used to analyze the data. It was found that 19.5% (152 samples) had had sexual intercourse. The samples start to have sex at 15 years old (40.8%) and the minimum age for sex was 13 years old (7.2%), while the oldest start having sex at 18 years of age (2.0%). The sample had not used condoms during sexual intercourse (12.5%), occasional use (53.3%) and mostly used (34.2%). The intention scoring of the sample group in pregnancy protection was at the good level (= 3.70, S.D. =0.52). The highest scoring of intention, where teenage girls denied unprotected sexual intercourse (= 4.33, S.D. =1.10), while high incidence of sexual intercourse as a consequence of increase in knowledge of condom use had the lowest score (= 2.79, S.D. =1.36 ). The factors correlated with intention of protectinof 0.001 were age, education, family income, marital status of the parents and the problems that make teenagers feel unhappy.    

                The results from the study showed conditions of sexual behavior and factors correlated with intention of protecting from pregnancy which can be used to develop guidelines for sexual well-being and sexuality studies for the next generation
