Nowadays, Thailand is becoming an ageing society because of the proportion of the elderly people has increased while the proportion of children and working people have decreased. The elderly should develop their competencies in daily life with dignity. Elder social activity participation is both necessary and important; and there are many kinds of social activities. For example (1) participation activities (2) volunteer work activities (3) extra income activities (4) recreational activities (5) religious activities 6) educational activities and (7) wisdom transferred activities. These activities can be promoted for both elder health as well as social and economic well-being to improve the good quality of life. The social activities at the personal or group level must be supported by families, communities, societies and government or non-government sectors in all areas. In order to apply these in a variety of social activities, and for participation to the activities with other ages, these social activities are the main components to support an ageing society in Thailand.
