The purpose of this academic article, a case study of teaching Chinese to Thai students, is to describe Chinese language learning problems of Thai students. This analysis is from the native teacher’s perspective after examining the listening, speaking, reading and writing skills of Thai students who are majoring in Chinese studies in Eastern Asia University. It was found that all skills are not developed as effectively as expected. Therefore, gathering relevant information and the right problems for analysis is important in order to reach the solution of those educational problems.
