Development of Information Technology System of Pharmacy Practice, Mahasarakham University

Abstract

The purposes of this research were 1) to develop an information technology system and evaluate effectiveness of pharmacy practice Mahasarakham University, 2) to study the efficacy of information technology of Pharmacy Practice, Mahasarakham University, 3) to study satisfaction of using information technology of pharmacy practice Mahasarakham University. Research methodology has three phases: 1) surveying the problem by studying previous systems, results of teacher’s supervision and results of conference of the professional internship committee, 2) to operate with the steps of research and development (Research and Development: R&D) by using the seven important steps of the research process. Tool of this research is evaluation forms to evaluate the effectiveness by 3 experts of design the process of professional practice center and 3 experts of design the process of information technology and program computer, 3) to study efficiency and satisfaction of using information technology. The samples were divided into two groups: the students of faculty of pharmacy and pharmacists in both hospitals and pharmacies. Tool of this research was a questionnaire to ask about efficiency and satisfaction of Information technology for students and pharmacists in both hospital and pharmacies.

The Results of this research were as follows:

1. The result of evaluation the efficacy of information technology in professional internship of faculty of pharmacy, Mahasarakham University by experts has an efficacy at a high level.
2. The result of evaluation on the efficacy of information technology in professional practice in faculty of pharmacy, Mahasarakham University found that students user and pharmacists in both hospital and pharmacies have an efficacy at a high level.
3. The result of satisfaction evaluation of using information technology in professional practice in faculty of pharmacy, Mahasarakham University found that students user and pharmacists in both hospital and pharmacies have a satisfaction at a high level.
