As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
The text is 1.5 spacing; uses a 12-point Times New Roman font for English article/ a 16-point Thai Sarabun New font for Thai article; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
The text adheres to the stylistic and APA style bibliographic requirements outlined in the Instruction for Author.
2) The submitted manuscript should be in the field of social sciences and humanities, with a specific focus on human rights and peace studies.
3) The submission must be an original work, which has not been published previously or concurrently submitted for review process elsewhere.
4) Each manuscript submitted to HRPS undergoes the process of editorial review and double blind peer-review, in which the manuscript is reviewed by two experts in the relevant field. In the peer-review process, each author is expected to review and edit their manuscript based on the suggestions and feedbacks of editorial team. Otherwise, each author should provide justifications with details to editorial team for not doing so.
5) The final acceptance for publishing in the journal is based on that each manuscript submitted for the HRPS must have been considered and accepted by at least 2 peer reviewers, and also the editorial team of the HRPS.
Guidelines for Preparing Manuscripts
Manuscripts to HPPS should be submitted in MS Word and formatted for standard paper (A4) with 1 inch margins on all sides. For English manuscript, the authors must use Times New Roman, font size 12 dpi, 1.5 spacing. For Thai manuscript, the author must use TH Sarabun New, font size 16 dpi, 1.15 spacing. Avoid using footnotes, endnotes or appendices unless absolutely necessary.
Types of Article and Length of the Manuscript
1) Academic Articles and Research Articles:
English: The length should be between 6,000 - 8,000 words, including references, notes, tables and figures. The author should provide an abstract of 150-250 words with 3-5 keywords.
Thai: The length should be 15 – 20 pages of A4, including references, notes, tables and figures The author should provide an abstract of ¾ page with 3-5 keywords.
Research articles should be based on well-founded research with appropriate research methodology. It Articles should contribute new knowledge to the academic community.
2) Book Reviews and Multimedia Reviews:
English: The length should be between 3,500 – 5,000 words with an abstract and 3-5 keywords.
Thai: The length should be 7 – 10 pages of A4 with an abstract and 3-5 keywords.
3) Article Reviews:
English: The length should be between 500 – 700 words.
Thai: The length should be 1 – 1 ½ page of A4.
4) Fieldwork Notes:
English: The length should be between 3,500 – 5,000 words with an abstract and 3-5 keywords.
Thai: The length should be 7 – 10 pages of A4 with an abstract and 3-5 keywords.
