บทคัดย่อ

บทความนี้มีจุดประสงค์เพื่อวิเคราะห์บทบาทตัวละครเอก คือ แม่พลอย จากเรื่อง “สี่แผ่นดิน”ของ ม.ร.ว.คึกฤทธิ์  ปราโมช กับ ความเป็นสตรีนิยม ผลปรากฏว่า  แม่พลอยมีบุคลิกภาพที่ผู้ชายในสังคมที่ผู้ชายเป็นใหญ่   หรือที่เรียกว่าปิตาธิปไตย (Patriarchy) พึงประสงค์  คือ มีความงามด้านรูปร่างหน้าตา  กิริยามารยาท และจิตใจ  มีความดีพร้อมสมบูรณ์ทั้งในบทบาทของ แม่ เมีย คนรักและลูกสาว มีอำนาจที่แฝงอยู่บ้างในการบริหารจัดการภายในบ้าน  แนวคิดแบบปิตาธิปไตยในเรื่องนี้จึงยังธำรงอยู่เหนือสตรีนิยมเช่นเดิม

Abstract

This  Article  aimed  to   analyse   the role of  Mrs. Ploy (mae Ploy), Based on Feminist theory (Feminism), the main character in “Four Reigns” the novel by M.R. Kukrit Pramoj.  The study  found that her personalities conformed to the woman type which women are supposed to be. That is, these personalities included her gorgeous appearance, her good social etiquette, and her great mind. Not only could she play her role as a mother, a wife, and a daughter to perfection, but she slightly held latent force in her family controls. This type of a woman was typically accepted by men in the society (Patriarchy) where there was a sense of their superiority over women.
