Abstract

At present, a number of the body of knowledge on Thai massage can be found in file online and websites 1.0that were not concerned with the body of knowledge in the conceptual framework completely such as the use of herbal remedies and great exercises. Therefore, the researcher collected data of Thai massage for massage therapy by the knowledge-based approach to develop and evaluate the satisfactory of the system effectiveness. The important approaches of the research were divided into 2 parts; that is, (1) the use of ontology for the knowledge-based approach on Thai massage for massage therapy, and (2) the creation of the rule-based systems for giving advice of Thai massage for massage therapy. In addition, the framework of the system consisted of 4 parts; that is, user interface, rule base, ontology and knowledge-based system, and recommendation engine. In terms of evaluating the satisfactory of the system effectiveness, it was found that; on the whole, the satisfactory of the users seemed to be at the high level at 72.3.
