Abstract

The aim of this review article is to induce the concept of food safety and the environmental management including the definition of food safety, food processing and manufacturing, role of food safety in environmental management, the obstacle of this approach, and the guideline for food safety t environmental management in the future. From this review, the limitation of pesticide or harmful substance is generally required for this process. Thus, food safety has an effective approach to serve a good condition of natural and environmental resources. However, the challenges of food safety for environmental management are; 1) the imbalance of consumption need and potential of producer; and 2) the limitation of some legal and regulation related to the pesticide usage. To encourage the environmental sustainability using the concept of food safety, the planning between producer and consumer should provide, and the activity associated with the knowledge of food safety should widely promote to increase the awareness of food safety and environment. Moreover, some of technology, for example the program of integrated pest management, should create to reduce several harmful substance affecting to our health and our environment.
