Abstract

This article is “The Factors Analysis of Mind Happiness Measurement in the Buddhist Context for Elderly People” aimed to study the components and to explore the variables of mind happiness measurement The methodology was Cross-Sectional study, the sample was composed of1,114 elderly people which recruited by multi-stage random sampling. The data were analyzed using Exploratory Factor Analysis technique, obtained by Principle Components Extraction and Orthogonal Rotation by Varimax Method.


The findings were five factors of measurement, thirty four variables elements as follows; 1) Having moral and living with others in a sharing and caring manner has eighteen variables 2) The nature of the mind is positive thinking has six variables 3) Attaining wisdom to have insight into all beings in accordance with actuality has five variables 4) The availability of livelihood. Has three variables and 5) Establishing the independence in mind free from all beings has two variables, each variable has loading factor more than ๐.๔๘. The mind happiness elderly is a person who well emotions controls, morally, consciousness, wisdom insight and independence in mind. As mentioned in the Tipitaka "The wisdom brings happiness"
