THE GUIDLINE ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF FORMATIVE LEADERSHIP OF PRIVATE SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS IN BANGKAPI DISTRIC

Abstract

This survey research aims to 1) study the level of Formative Leadership of administrators, 2) compare the Formative Leadership of administrators classified by demography characteristic and 3) study the guideline on the development of Formative Leadership of administrators. The sample used in this research were 170 teachers from private schools in Bangkapi District collected through Stratified Random Sampling method specified by schools and 8 deputy directors of schools. The tools of this research were 5–points Likert scale questionnaire with reliability of 0.916 and the interview form. Data was analyzed and processed by statistical package program. Statistical processes used for data analysis were Mean, Standard Deviation,T-Test Analysis of Variances which specified the statistical significance value at 0.05 and Content Analysis.


The research results were found that 1) the overall and individual aspects of the level of Formative Leadership of administrators were at high level, 2) the private schools teachers with different ages had unalike views about the Formative Leadership of administrators in overall aspects on using technology and innovation, teamwork, trust, time management, communication and human relations creating with the statistical significance value at 0.05, 3) there were different opinions on the Formative Leadership of administrators in aspects of time management and human relations with the statistical significance value at 0.05 between the teachers which had working experiences less than 10 years and from 10 years or more and 4) the guideline on the development of Formative Leadership of administrators consisted of the policies on the creating of organizational culture and the development of systematic working process.
