Information For Authors

Journal of Language and Culture is a Humanities and Social Sciences journal published twice annually, in June and December by the Research Institute for Languages and Cultures of Asia, Mahidol University, since 1981.

The aims of the journal are to publish academic works on language and culture for the benefit of national development and international collaboration as well as to promote and support the conservation, development and revitalization of language and culture. The journal welcomes all manuscripts in the sub-fields of linguistics, cultural studies, anthropology, community development, and language for communication, translation, and teaching, especially theoretically focused analysis, applied research, and analyzed or synthesized research papers carried out in the Asian region.

The Journal of Language and Culture (JLC) provides a distinguished platform for researchers, academicians, practitioners, and students to contribute to the academic discourse on language and culture in Asian contexts. As an open-access, double-blind, peer-reviewed journal published biannually by the Research Institute for Languages and Cultures of Asia at Mahidol University since 1983, JLC invites original and high-quality submissions across various fields, including linguistics, applied linguistics, cultural studies, anthropology, and more. Authors can showcase cutting-edge research, share insights, and engage in meaningful scholarly conversations, fostering the advancement of knowledge in language and culture.
