EDUCATIONAL MANAGEMENT FOLLOWING BUDDHIST PSYCHOLOGY IN BUDDHIST ORIENTED SCHOOL

Abstract

The objectives of this research are: 1) to synthesize the principles of Buddhism and psychology in educational management at the school level on Buddhist way 2) to analyze the educational management according to Buddhist psychology in Buddhist schools that are good practices and 3) to present the educational management model according to Buddhist psychology in Buddhist schools. The research method is qualitative research by Using in-depth interview method from key informants of 8 Buddhist schools then summarize the results using descriptive method. The research results are asfollows:


  1. The study of the process of educational management of the Buddhist way school bestowed by the king found that the physical aspect has a Buddha image, the atmosphere is shady, clean, peaceful, free of devils, in the basic activities of the way of life, consisting of preserving the five precepts, easy smiling, paying respect to beauty, teaching and learning and integration of Buddhism principles into teaching and learning management. In the atmosphere and interaction administration is the participation of parents with continuous and systematic community.

  2. Analysis of psychological principles and Buddhist principles that are used to study in Buddhist way schools bestowed by the king found that the motivation factors including to self-development needs, namely 1) psychological development 2) physical development 3) emotional development 4) Intellectual development 5) Social development 6) Knowledge development and 7 Self-development to the needs of the labor market. The supporting factors are policy and education management, community relations, welfare of education promotion Budget allocation for educational management, media materials - equipment and activities of learning and teaching, curriculum and teaching process in measurement and evaluation

                   3. Educational management model according to Buddhist psychology in Buddhist way schools is teaching and learning based on Buddhist principles under the participation of parents. The community is friendly and has the Threefold Learning through the house, temple, school, and integration to lead the children to be good and happy people.
