FACTORS THAT AFFECT TO LAENING ACHIEVEMENT OF STUDENTS IN THE DIPLOMA LEVEL OF PRIVATE SCHOOLS IN EASTERN ECONOMIC CORRIDOR (EEC)

Abstract
This article aims to study personal and environmental factors including the teaching and learning factors that affect the learning achievement of students of private schools in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC). The researcher used quantitative research by collecting data using 400 questionnaires of students in the Diploma level of private schools in 3 provinces in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) including Chon Buri, Rayong and Chachoengsao. The researcher used independent sample t-test to analyze the difference of average values of two groups, using one-way ANOVA F-test to test the level of the average of the three sample groups and used analyzing multiple regression analysis to study the relationship between multi-independent variables to predict the dependent variables or criteria variables at a statistical significance level of 0.05 or 95 percent confidence, respectively.
The study indicated that:
1) The differences of gender, career history, cumulative grade point average from last school, education level of father and mother, average income to school per day and support from family/parents of students of private schools in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) were not significant affect the learning achievement. 2) The factors of teaching and learning management that have significant effect on learning achievement are lesson contents, Instruction medias and Measurement and evaluation. While factor of student, teacher, environment and teaching method were not affected in learning achievement. The coefficient of determination (R2) equal to 0.5877, it means predictive equation can eliminate 58.77 percent predictive error at the statistical significance level of 0.05.
