‘CHARTSART’ RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN WORLDS AND ISSUES OF LIVING, THE MERIT OF THE TENTH MONTH, THUNG YAI DISTRICT, NAKHON SI THAMMARAT

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to study relationships between worlds and issues of living. The tradition of "Hae Chad" at The merit of the tenth month, Thung Yai District, Nakhon Si Thammarat was found that the parade is part of the merit of the tenth month, Thung Yai District, Nakhon Si Thammarat with the preparation of "Chad" and all the utensils used before the day of sending the grandparents. The unique identity of the merit of the tenth month of Thung Yai District people is the "Dag Chad" during the 1-14 dusk period of 10 months, the time before sending the grandmother to the world that they came from. This is an activity that people in the village join together to help each other harmoniously to create the most beautiful and valuable "Chad" in order to parade proudly on the day of sending the grandparents. That is the relationship between the worlds that are transmitted through the Hungry Ghost or "Pret", which is the symbol for the ancestors who have passed away and “Chad” which is symbol of relationship with love and respect of Thung Yai District descendants Nakhon, Si Thammarat, to create facilities for ancestors with concern. This is a tradition that reflects the beliefs of the community in the dedication of merit to the ancestors to the important gimmick for controlling, maintaining rules and creating order in the community.
