Abstract

This article aims to study the culture of knowledge pursuit in Islam. It is a documentary study using descriptive and analytical method. The study found that the status of knowledge is highly upheld in Islam. It is an important factor which leads to right faith and practice.  It is also a crucial key which can make human beings change and live peacefully in this world and the hereafter. The study also found that the culture of knowledge pursuit in Islam includes; 1) giving the most importance to the study of the Holy Quran and Prophetic traditions, 2) Travelling in pursuit of knowledge, and 3) giving importance to sciences.
