Abstract

School age children are important to Thailand because they will be the adults who will make decisions about Thailand’s development in the future. To ensure children are physically and mentally healthy, intelligent, and responsible for their health and society, it is necessary to prevent non-communicable diseases in school age children, which are increasing and becoming a serious health problem. In order to be intelligent and healthy, children must have sufficient understanding of what it means to be healthy in order to make good decisions about how to take care of themselves, including their eating habits and lifestyle. This health literacy is important to prevent type 2 diabetes, allowing all children to grow to adulthood.
