The purpose of the social sciences research and academic journal is to act as a platform for the promotion and publication of research works in the fields of social science, as well as the dissemination of new findings or new information between researchers and the general public. Additionally, it is meant to establish academic communication that is accurate, of high quality, transparent, and complies with publication requirements.

          Duties for Concerned Parties in  social sciences research and academic journal comprises three groups, namely authors, editors, and reviewers, all of which are required to comply with regulations on duties as outlined below.

Duties of Authors

          1. Authors are required to verify that their manuscript is original and has not been previously published.

          2. Authors are required to report their research findings without fabrication, falsification, or data manipulation.

          3. Authors are required to cite the works of other authors. If such works are used in the authors' work, they must cite them according to the "Manuscript Preparation" reference style guide.

          4. Authors must double-check all figures, tables, graphs, and numerical data that appear in the manuscript and provide references or citations.

          5. Authors must format their manuscripts according to the "Manuscript Preparation" format guide  

          6. Authors must obtain approval from co-authors, if any, before submitting a manuscript.

          7. Authors must be aware of the significance of revising the manuscript in accordance with the suggestions of reviewers and the editorial team and must revise the manuscript within the specified timeframe.

          8. Authors must identify the funding source, if applicable.

          9. Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest.

 Duties of Editors

          1. Editors are responsible for ensuring that submitted manuscripts are of high quality and adhere to the journal's aims and scopes.

           2. During the reviewing process, editors are prohibited from disclosing any information about authors and reviewers to unrelated parties.

           3. Editors have duties to check that submitted manuscripts have good quality and are written in accordance with the journal’s focus and scopes.

           4. Editors must choose manuscripts with correct methodology and presentation of results.

           5. If editors discover any wrongdoing or plagiarism in a manuscript, they must promptly stop the reviewing process and contact the authors for clarification before deciding whether to "accept" or "reject" the manuscript for publication.

           6. Editors must have no competing interests with authors or reviewers.

 Duties of Reviewers

           1. During the double-blind peer review procedure, reviewers must keep their evaluations confidential.

           2. Reviewers are prohibited from disclosing any information about the manuscript they are evaluating to a third party.

           3. If reviewers are uncertain or have reservations about a potential conflict of interest with the manuscript, which could prevent them from providing objective feedback, they must notify the editors and decline to submit the manuscript.

           4. Reviewers may not use any portion of the manuscript for their own benefit without the authors' permission.

           5. Manuscripts must be reviewed based on the reviewer's area of expertise, and the review should be based on the manuscript's content, its contribution, and the quality of its analysis, and not on the reviewer's personal opinions that are not supported by evidence.

           6. Reviewers are required to notify the editors if they discover any duplicate, similar, or plagiarized material in the manuscript.

           7. Reviewers must be aware of the timeline specified by the editorial team for the review. In the event that reviewers are unable to continue serving as reviewers, they must inform the editors so that the manuscripts can be sent to alternative reviewers.

จริยธรรมในการตีพิมพ์ผลงานวิจัยในวารสารวิชาการและวิจัยสังคมศาสตร์  (Publication Ethics)

            วารสารวิชาการและวิจัยสังคมศาสตร์ เป็นวารสารที่มีวัตถุประสงค์หลักในการเผยแพร่องค์ความรู้ทางด้านสังคมศาสตร์นอกจากนั้นยังเป็นสื่อกลางในการติดต่อสื่อสารงานวิชาการ งานวิจัย ข้อค้นพบใหม่ ๆ ระหว่างนักวิจัย และสังคมโดยทั่วไป ดังนั้นเพื่อให้การสื่อสารทางวิชาการเป็นไปอย่างถูกต้อง มีคุณภาพ และสอดคล้องกับมาตรฐานการตีพิมพ์วารสารวิชาการ จึงกำหนดวิธีปฏิบัติหรือแนวดำเนินการที่เกี่ยวข้องกับ Publication Ethics รวมทั้งบทบาทหน้าที่สำหรับ ผู้นิพนธ์ (Author) บรรณาธิการวารสาร (Editor) และผู้ประเมินบทความ (Reviewer) ไว้เพื่อประโยชน์ต่อผู้ที่เกี่ยวข้องและเพื่อแจ้งให้ผู้เกี่ยวข้องได้ทราบทั่วกัน ดังนี้

บทบาทและหน้าที่ของผู้นิพนธ์ (Duties of Authors) 

       1. ผู้นิพนธ์ต้องทำการตรวจสอบและรับรองว่าผลงานที่ส่งมาเพื่อตีพิมพ์ในวารสารนั้นเป็นผลงานที่ไม่เคยตีพิมพ์ที่ใดมาก่อน หรือมีการส่งไปตีพิมพ์ที่อื่นในเวลาเดียวกัน

       2. ผู้นิพนธ์ต้องนำเสนอข้อเท็จจริงที่เกิดขึ้นจากการทำวิจัยโดยไม่บิดเบือนข้อมูล หรือให้ข้อมูลที่เป็นเท็จ หรือตกแต่ง ปิดบังข้อมูลในการศึกษาวิจัย 

       3. ผู้นิพนธ์ต้องรับรองว่าผลงานที่นำมาตีพิมพ์ในวารสารนั้น ไม่มีการคัดลอกผลงานที่เป็นของผู้อื่นหรือผลงานของตนเองที่เคยเสนอไว้ก่อนหน้า หากมีการนำผลงานอื่นมาใช้ต้องทำการอ้างอิงอย่างถูกต้อง   

       4. ผู้นิพนธ์ต้องตรวจสอบ รูปภาพ ตาราง กราฟ ตลอดจนข้อมูลตัวเลขต่างๆ ที่ปรากฏในบทความ ให้ถูกต้อง โดยให้แสดงที่มาอย่างชัดเจนและให้มีการอ้างอิงอย่างถูกต้อง

       5. ผู้นิพนธ์ต้องจัดเตรียมต้นฉบับบทความให้ถูกต้องตามรูปแบบของวารสารที่กำหนดไว้ใน “คำแนะนำผู้เขียน” โดยเคร่งครัด

       6. ผู้นิพนธ์ที่มีชื่อปรากฏในบทความทุกคน ต้องเป็นผู้ที่มีส่วนในการดำเนินการวิจัยหรือมีส่วนร่วมในการศึกษาค้นคว้าเพื่อจัดทำบทความอย่างแท้จริง

       7. ผู้นิพนธ์ต้องตระหนักถึงความสำคัญในการปรับแก้ไขบทความตามข้อเสนอแนะของผู้ประเมินและกองบรรณาธิการ และปรับแก้ไขบทความภายในระยะเวลาที่กองบรรณาธิการกำหนด

       8. ผู้นิพนธ์ต้องระบุแหล่งทุนที่ให้การสนับสนุนการวิจัย (ถ้ามี)

       9. ผู้นิพนธ์ต้องระบุผลประโยชน์ทับซ้อน (หากมี)

บทบทบาทและหน้าที่ของบรรณาธิการ  (Duties of Editors)

       1. บรรณาธิการวารสารมีหน้าที่ในการพิจารณาบทความที่มีคุณภาพ สอดคล้องกับวัตถุประสงค์และขอบเขตของวารสาร

       2. บรรณาธิการต้องไม่เปิดเผยข้อมูลของผู้นิพนธ์ และผู้ประเมินบทความ แก่บุคคลอื่นๆ ที่ไม่เกี่ยวข้องในช่วงระยะเวลาของการประเมินบทความ

       3. บรรณาธิการต้องคัดเลือกบทความมาตีพิมพ์หลังจากผ่านกระบวนการประเมินบทความแล้ว โดยยึดความสอดคล้องของเนื้อหากับนโยบายของวารสารเป็นสำคัญ

       4. บรรณาธิการต้องพิจารณาคัดเลือกบทความที่มีการดำเนินการที่ถูกต้อง และมีการนำเสนอผลข้อมูล หรือการวิจัยที่ถูกต้อง

       5. หากบรรณาธิการตรวจพบการคัดลอกผลงาน บรรณาธิการต้องหยุดกระบวนการประเมิน และติดต่อผู้นิพนธ์หลักทันทีเพื่อขอคำชี้แจง เพื่อประกอบการ “ตอบรับ” หรือ “ปฏิเสธ” การตีพิมพ์บทความความนั้น ๆ

       6. บรรณาธิการต้องไม่มีผลประโยชน์ทับซ้อนกับผู้นิพนธ์ หรือผู้ประเมิน

บทบาทหน้าที่ของผู้ประเมินบทความ (Duties of Reviewers)  

       1. ผู้ประเมินบทความต้องดำเนินการให้เป็นไปตามกระบวนการ double blind peer review

       2. ผู้ประเมินบทความ ต้องไม่เปิดเผยข้อมูลของบทความที่ส่งมาเพื่อพิจารณาแก่บุคคลอื่นๆ ที่ไม่เกี่ยวข้อง ในช่วงระยะเวลาของการประเมินบทความ

       3. ผู้ประเมินมีความสงสัยหรือไม่แน่ใจว่า ตัวเองอาจมีผลประโยชน์ทับซ้อนกับผู้นิพนธ์ที่ทำให้ไม่สามารถให้ข้อคิดเห็นและข้อเสนอแนะอิสระได้อย่างอิสระไม่ว่ากรณีใดๆ ผู้ประเมินควรแจ้งให้บรรณาธิการวารสารทราบและปฏิเสธการประเมินบทความนั้น ๆ

       4. ผู้ประเมินบทความต้องไม่นำส่วนหนึ่งส่วนใดของบทความที่ประเมินไปใช้เพื่อประโยชน์ของตนเอง โดยไม่ได้รับอนุญาตจากผู้นิพนธ์บทความ

       5. ผู้ประเมินบทความ ต้องประเมินบทความในสาขาวิชาที่ตนเองมีความเชี่ยวชาญ โดยพิจารณาความสำคัญของเนื้อหาในบทความที่มีต่อสาขาวิชานั้นๆ คุณภาพของการวิเคราะห์  ไม่ควรใช้ความคิดเห็นส่วนตัวที่ไม่มีข้อมูลรองรับมาเป็นเกณฑ์ในการตัดสินบทความวิจัย

       6. หากผู้ประเมินบทความพบมีส่วนใดของบทความ ที่มีความเสมือน หรือซ้ำซ้อนกับผลงานอื่นๆ ผู้ประเมินบทความต้องแจ้งให้บรรณาธิการทราบด้วย   

       7. ผู้ประเมินควรตระหนักถึงระยะเวลาการตรวจอ่านบทความตามที่กองบรรณาธิการกำหนด หากมีเหตุที่ผู้ประเมินไม่สามารถทำการตรวจอ่านบทความได้ตามกำหนด ควรแจ้งให้กองบรรณาธิการทราบเพื่อให้สามารถจัดส่งบทความไปให้ผู้ประเมินอื่นได้
