Abstract

This article intends to review why the air cadets should be equipped with global competence. Frameworks of 21st century skills from various organizations are also introduced as a tool to prepare air cadets to become globally competent. The frameworks indicated that content knowledge and skills are two essential aspects of our daily life and work life in the 21st century. Language and technology literacies are examples of content knowledge. Collaboration, Communication, Creativity and Critical Thinking are necessary skills for our work life. I also proposed a lesson from an English for aviation course that integrated the 21st century skills into the activities.
