The 3rd issue of Maritime Technology and Research (MTR) has been released ( We are grateful for international authors who see the potentials of MTR and submitted their articles.

At the moment, we are inviting you to publish your articles in our 4th issue.

Submission deadline: 31 January 2020
Review process: Double-blind reviews from at least 2 reviewers
First decision: 4-6 weeks
Production speed after acceptance: 14 days

We are not a predatory journal. We will not charge any money. We are supported by Thai governmental university. Please be a part of MTR!

Maritime Technology and Research (MTR), is a peer-reviewed journal covering all areas of Maritime Technology. The MTR provides a forum for discussion of current issues, new idea and developments, as well as breakthroughs in coastal and oceanic arenas. The range of topics extends from coastal zone to deep ocean, including engineering, environment, logistics, as well as other management aspects such as maritime policy, maritime education, and well-being of seafarers.

In addition to original, full-length contributions presenting new research and developments in the field, the MTR also publishes review papers authored by leading authorities. The journal implements a double-blinded review system with at least 2 expert reviewers.  Supported by Faculty of International Maritime Studies (Kasetsart University, Thailand), MTR aims to be a venue for researchers to share advancement, not to make profit.  

Submissions and publications are free-of-charge. Readers can freely download articles without any fee or registration.

The Maritime Technology and Research (MTR), is a peer-reviewed journal covering all areas of Maritime Technology, launched in 2019. It is published twice per year (Biannual) by the Faculty of International Maritime Studies, Kasetsart University. Peer Review Process

- All submitted manuscripts will be reviewed by at least two expert reviewers via the double-blinded review system.
- The journal only accepts articles written in English.

 Publication frequency : Bi-annual

- Issue 1 January - June
- Issue 2 July - December


Article types accepted by Maritime Technology and Research:   Research article, Review article

MTR publishes original research articles that contribute advancements to maritime society. Review articles on topics of current interest are also welcome. There is no page limit as long as the article contains necessary content.
