Abstract

          This paper examines firstly the ideas and thought process of museum architectural design approach from historical context, archeology excavation to architectural drawing of Baan Hollanda, an information center of Thai - Ducth relation in Ayutthaya province, Thailand. This case example shows how architecture concept hybrids between a reminiscent of an old VOC building in 17th century with a flexible modern architecture to meet the needs of public. Secondly, this study shows how physical aspect of museum building and its environment impacts visitor’s museum experience.
