Abstract

 The research objectives were to analyze the content of elementary curriculum during B.E. 2503-2551 and to analyze the content of textbook of social studies, religion and culture for elementary level during B.E. 2503-2551. The sampling group were 7 elementary curriculum guide and 25 textbook of social studies, religion and culture for elementary level. The tool used in this research was a content analysis form. Research finding as:

The democracy concept which appeared frequently in the elementary curriculum guide B.E. 2503 were responsibility, open mindness and public mind. The democracy concept which appeared frequently in textbook of social studies, religion and culture for elementary level B.E. 2503 were responsibility, open mindness, public mind, liberty and rights and discipline . The democracy concept which appeared frequently in the elementary curriculum guide B.E. 2521(2533) were responsibility and open mindness. The democracy concept which appeared frequently in textbook of social studies, religion and culture for elementary level B.E. 2521(2533) were responsibility and open mindness. The democracy concept which appeared frequently in the elementary curriculum guide B.E. 2551 were open mindness, liberty and rights, discipline, public mind, responsibility and participation. The democracy concept which appeared frequently in textbook of social studies, religion and culture for elementary level B.E. 2551 were open mindness, liberty and rights, discipline, public mind, responsibility and participation. The 3 democracy concept which less frequently in this category were reasoning, equality and peaceful means.
