Abstract

The objectives of opportunity analysis for trade, investment and connectivity of Thai industries with CLMV are to analyze dependency on raw materials, as well as connectivity, between Thai and CLMV industries, and to study Thai and CLMV industry capabilities, resulting in investment guideline to CLMV countries. This research used Michael Porter’s value chain, Input-output tables (IOTs), SWOT, and TOWS matrix to analyze potential Thai industries investing in CLMV countries, by proposing one industry prototype per country. The result suggested that automotive industry was the most potential industry to invest in Cambodia as well as fruit and vegetable processing, textile, and seafood processing industries were most potential industries to invest in Laos, Myanmar, and Vietnam respectively.
