Administrative Factors Affecting High Achievement of Students in Schools under the Office of Nakhon Ratchasima Primary Education Service Area 5

Abstract

     The purposes of this research were to 1) study administrative factors in schools under the office of Nakhon Ratchasima primary education service area 5; 2) analyze the relationships between administrative factors and the high achievement of students in schools ; and 3) construct a regression equation for prediction of the high achievement of students in schools. The research sample 104 persons totally comprised 52 school administrators and 52 teachers who were responsible for academic affairs in schools under the office of Nakhon Ratchasima Primary Education service area 5thatthe students had high achievement.The employed research
instrument was a rating scale questionnaire with reliability coefficient of .91. Statistics for data analysis were the percentage, mean, standard deviation, Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis : ENTER. Research findings showed that 1) two administrative factors, namely, the person factor and the academic administration factor were rated at the highest level; while two factors, namely, the organization factor and materials factor were rated at the high level; 2) in over all the administrative factors had the relationships with the high achievement of students in schools at low; when considered, it was found that one factor, namely, the
academic administration factor ; and 3) from the analysis of the above factors which correlated significantly at the .01 level with the administrative factors in schools, a regression equation that could predict the high achievement of students in schools under the office of Nakhon Ratchasima Primary Education service area 5 by 3.4 percent was developed using the combination of academic administration factor (gif.latex?X_{4}) as predictor; the predicting equations in the forms of raw score and standard score were as shown below:
