Abstract

                 The purposes of this research were to study the conditions and problems, find the way to develop and to follow of the development of the popular song of composition of the students in the music program at Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University. The target of this study consisted of the researcher, of 16 people who provided information and the target group in the development of 77 people. The scope of contents included tone, time, melody, harmony, tone color and form. The research was action research (AR) consists of 4 stages: planning action observation and reflection. The research was done in 2 spirals. The period 12 months since October 1, 2017 to September 30, 2018. The instruments used in this study were moderately scheduled formal interview 2 copies and observation form.

                 The results revealed the following points :

1. 1. The conditions regarding to the development of the popular song of composition of the students in the music program at Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University found that the musical elements of Western complex with the characteristics of the melody, rhythm, harmony hard to hear, no sweetness. There was not enough suitable proportions and not bombastic which can be difficult to sing along and unable to entertain the audience. The problems of the study found that about understanding the composition of the music included tone, time, melody, harmony, tone color and form is not yet deep to enough for the popular song of composition.


2. 2. The way to develop of the popular song of composition of the students in the music program at Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University including workshops, monitoring and supervision recommend.

The result of the development of the popular song of composition of the students in the music program at Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University found that the students have more understanding of the elements of music included tone, time, melody, harmony, tone color and form and deep to enough for popular music composition can be authored popular song with Western musical elements that was not complicated. Melodious tunes up similarly, the rate of strokes were synchronized with each other. Vocal was easy listening. The proportion appropriated with forms, easy to sing along and can make fun and enjoyable to the audience.
