Thammasat Economic Journal (TEJ) has been changed to Thailand and the World Economy (TWE) from this issue (vol. 36 No.2) onwards, to clearly reflect the true focus of the journal, i.e. insightful analysis of the Thai economy as well as her economic relations with the Asia-Pacific region and the rest of the world.Read more about Journal's Title Change
Thailand and The World Economy (TWE) is the new name of Thammasat Economic Journal (TEJ) from August 2018 onward. TEJ was the oldest economic journal firstly published in 1983. Changing from TEJ to TWE is to better reflect to the journal interest which is center to the development in Thailand amidst the ongoing economic globalization. It is also to attract new potential authors around the world. TWE takes a broad view of development by encompassing both economic and economic-related research perspectives. The submitted paper can be scholarly, applied or practice-oriented. In selecting articles for publication, priority will be given to high quality research that contributes to the body of evidence discovering and/or substantiating effective development policies. TWE is now classified as tier-1 by the Thai-Journal Citation Index Centre (TCI), and is indexed in the Asean Citation Index (ACI). The journal has a long history of publication across a broad range of economic issues impinging on the Thai economy, as well as her economic relations with the Asia-Pacific region and the rest of the world. The TWE's Advisory board consists of prominent scholars with different areas of specialization in particular Asian countries from across the world. The journal is issued regularly in April, August and December.
