ด้วยความหลากหลายทางวัฒนธรรม และความซับซ้อนทางสังคม การวิจัยทางการพยาบาล                             ข้ามวัฒนธรรม จึงเป็นสิ่งที่จำเป็นยิ่งในยุคศตวรรษที่ 21 นี้ ซึ่งต้องการการวิเคราะห์สถานการณ์เพื่อกำหนดโจทย์และทิศทางการวิจัยให้ทันกับการเปลี่ยนแปลงทั้งในเชิงรุกและรับต่อนโยบายของประเทศ และเพื่อสร้างองค์ความรู้ทางการพยาบาล ที่ตอบสนองต่อความต้องการของผู้ใช้บริการที่มีความหลากหลายทางชาติพันธุ์วรรณนาในบริบทสังคมไทย ประชาคมอาเซียนและสังคมโลกได้ ดังนั้น นักวิจัยต้องมีความเข้าใจในแนวคิด วิธีการศึกษาแบบข้ามวัฒนธรรมที่ชัดเจน และมีการพัฒนาสมรรถนะทางวัฒนธรรมในตนเอง รวมทั้งวิเคราะห์ประเด็นวิจัยเพื่อการศึกษาต่อยอด

Abstract

Nursing Research Across Cultures: Research Concepts and Issues

To respond to increasing cultural diversity and social complexity, cross-cultural nursing research has become extremely necessary in the 21st century.  This type of research requires proper situational analysis as a vital part of forming research questions and directions, to keep abreast with current changes and the country’s policies, both passively and actively.  This type of research also aims at building new bodies of nursing-related knowledge in response to the needs of ethnically diverse service-recipients in Thai, ASEAN and global contexts.  It is therefore necessary that researchers truly understand the concepts and methodology of cross-cultural research, constantly improve their cultural competency and be able to analyse research issues for knowledge-furthering purposes.
