Therefore, the objectives of this article are to review League Championship Algorithm (LCA), to find the optimal parameters of the 10 different benchmarked functions and to design and analysis of experiments with the fractional factorial experiment (<strong>2<sup>k-p</sup></strong>) and analysis of variance (ANOVA). The results of this experiments show that <em>f</em><sub>1</sub>(x), <em>f</em><sub>2</sub>(x), <em>f</em><sub>9</sub>(x) and <em>f</em><sub>10</sub>(x) have a P-value less than 0.05, indicating that the value of the factor responds. So the best parameter of the league championship algorithm should be as follows, for <em>f</em><sub>1</sub>(x) set a retreat coefficient (c<sub>1</sub>) &nbsp;to 6, for <em>f</em><sub>2</sub>(x) and <em>f</em><sub>10</sub>(x) set the league size (L) x Seasonality (S) to 56x1, the retreat coefficient (c<sub>1</sub>) and the approach coefficient (c<sub>2</sub>) is 6, and the probability of success (p<sub>c</sub>) is 0.99999 and <em>f</em><sub>9</sub>(x) &nbsp;set a retreat coefficient (c<sub>1</sub>) &nbsp;to 6, the approach coefficient (c<sub>2</sub>) is 6 and the probability of success (p<sub>c</sub>) is 0.99999.</p> Pupong Pongcharoen Anothai Klakankhai ##submission.copyrightStatement## 2019-03-18 2019-03-18 7 1 1 14 Portfolio selection based on Data Envelopment Analysis <p>This article presents methodologies based on Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) for portfolio selection in two stages. In the first stage, the stock are evaluated using DEA, Super-efficiency and DEA Cross-efficiency. These methods are utilized based on CRS-Output oriented model. Financial ratios are used as the inputs and outputs for evaluating. In the second stage, three portfolio stock–weighting strategies are applied, efficiency score, Markowitz Mean–Variance model and Mean–Variance cross-efficiency. The results show that Mean–Variance cross-efficiency strategy created the superior portfolio in cumulative return than efficiency score and Markowitz Mean–Variance strategy.</p> Aeknarin Saechin Suda Tragantalerngsak ##submission.copyrightStatement## 2019-03-18 2019-03-18 7 1 15 24 Improving Service Performance of Transportation Department : A Case study of Songklanagarind Hospital <p>Nowadays, hospitals are aware of the quality of their services to provide an efficient assistance for patients. The purpose of this research is to improve the efficiency of patient transportation during working days (from 00:30 am to 08:30 am) through a case study of the Songklanagarind hospital. In this research, the simulation approach via ProModel Simulation software is applied to analyze the performance level of transferring the patients, including the waiting time of the patients for being carried by the porters and the utilization of porters. In addition, this research proposes the what-if scenario of the porter requirement to obtain a cost-effective operation. As a result, it showed that removing one porter at 00:30 am to 06:30 am and adding two porters at 6:31 am to 8:30 am (Scenario A5) played the best alternative regarding to the porter utilization and the number of patients waiting for service. The porter utilization was increased by 24 percent. Moreover, the average time of the patients in system was decreased by 6 percent, and the average time that patients waiting to be served was decreased by 4.26, 11.29, and 9.79 percent in emergency, urgent and regular case, respectively.
