Abstract

new information on Thai Dipterocarpaceae, derived from recent field work and studies of additional herbarium specimens, is presented. Two taxa newly recorded for Thailand are briefly described and illustrated. One of these, Parashorea densijlora subsp. kerrii, is newly recognised at subspecific rank. New
information is provided on a number of species mainly in the genus Dipterocarpus. Eight genera and 63 species of Dipterocarpaceae arc now known to occur in Thailand.
