Abstract

Temochloa.a new genus of bamboo (Poaceae-Bambuso ideae) is described from Southern Thailand with a single species, T liliana. growing on limestone hills. The inflorescence is determinate, borne on terminating leafy branches, bearing one to four spikelets. each containing one ferti le floret.
