A Study of components of blended learning model with experience based teaching and scaffolding to enhance English writing skill for primary students

Abstract

                The purposes of the research were: 1) to study the components of blended learning model with experience based teaching and scaffolding to enhance English writing skill for primary students and 2) to study suitability of components of the model prototype.  The samples were 9 experts, selected by purposive sampling. The research instruments had model prototype and model prototype assessment form with rating scales type. The data were statistical analyzed by mean and standard deviation.


               The research findings were as follows:


  1. The blended learning model with experience based teaching and scaffolding to enhance English writing skill for primary students consisted of 7 components as the following: 1) principles 2) objective 3) content 4) learners/teachers 5) scaffolding 6) instructional process and 7) measurement and evaluation.

  2. Suitability of components of the model prototype from experts shown that overall of all components was very suitable ( = 4.78, S.D. = 0.44). The result of each component:                        1) principles (  = 4.56, S.D. = 0.73) 2) objective (  = 4.41, S.D. = 0.59) 3) content (  = 4.41, S.D. = 0.59) 4) learners/teachers (  = 4.22, S.D. = 0.65) 5) scaffolding (  = 4.48, S.D. = 0.69)              6) instructional process (  = 4.62, S.D. = 0.51) and 7) measurement and evaluation (  = 4.69,   S.D. = 0.47).
