Abstract

                   ในยุคโลกาภิวัตน์วัดมีบทบาทหรือภารกิจต่อสังคมและชุมชนทั้งในปัจจุบันอย่างมากมาย นอกจากจะเป็นสถาบันที่ทำหน้าที่ในการฝึกอบรมพระสงฆ์เพื่อให้ออกมาทำหน้าที่ในการสืบสานพระพุทธศาสนาแล้ว วัดก็ยังคงเป็นศูนย์กลางแห่งกิจกรรมต่างๆ ของชุมชนและมีบทบาทต่อการพัฒนาอาชีพของประชาชน เช่น เป็นสถานศึกษากลางสำหรับประชาชนทั่วไป เป็นแหล่งรวมศิลปวิทยาการในด้านต่างๆ ที่เป็นความรู้เพื่อการดำรงรักษาสังคม อันสืบเนื่องมาจากการจัดการกิจการพระพุทธศาสนา
