การศึกษาวัฒนธรรมท้องถิ่นจังหวัดสมุทรปราการ (The Study of Local Culture of Samut Prakan Province)

Abstract

              การวิจัยการศึกษาวัฒนธรรมท้องถิ่นจังหวัดสมุทรปราการ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1.) เพื่อศึกษาข้อมูลวัฒนธรรมท้องถิ่นในจังหวัดสมุทรปราการ 2.) เพื่อศึกษาระดับการเห็นคุณค่าของวัฒนธรรมท้องถิ่น และระดับการมีส่วนร่วมในการอนุรักษ์วัฒนธรรมท้องถิ่นของประชาชน ในจังหวัดสมุทรปราการ 3.) เพื่อวิเคราะห์แนวทางสำหรับการอนุรักษ์วัฒนธรรมท้องถิ่น ในจังหวัดสมุทรปราการ โดยขอบเขตด้านพื้นที่การศึกษาครั้งนี้มุ่งศึกษาคุณค่าวัฒนธรรมท้องถิ่นที่ปรากฏในจังหวัดสมุทรปราการ ในพื้นที่ 5 อำเภอ จังหวัดสมุทรปราการ เพื่อเก็บรวบรวมตามวัตถุประสงค์  ซึ่งสรุปผลในการศึกษาในประเด็นคุณค่าวัฒนธรรม 4 มิติ ของวิเลี่ยม ดี ไลป์ เพื่อหาคุณค่าของวัฒนธรรมท้องถิ่น จังหวัดสมุทรปราการ ในประเด็นคุณค่าที่แสดงนัยของอดีต (Associative value) คุณค่าทางวิชาการ (Informational value) คุณค่าความงามหรือสุนทรีย์ (Aesthetic value) คุณค่าทางเศรษฐศาสตร์ (Economic value) ผลการศึกษาพบว่ากลุ่มตัวอย่าง 5 อำเภอ ในจังหวัดสมุทรปราการให้คุณค่าวัฒนธรรมท้องถิ่น 44 วัฒนธรรม ที่แสดงคุณค่านัยของอดีตในระดับมากที่สุด โดยมีความคิดเห็นต่อประเด็นคุณค่าในมิตินี้ หมายความถึงคุณค่าเชิงสัญลักษณ์ เป็นทรัพยากรวัฒนธรรมทั้งที่เป็นรูปธรรมและนามธรรม ที่แสดงถึงความทรงจำทั้งในอดีตและปัจจุบันที่ปรากฏออกมาในรูปแบบของเอกลักษณ์ประจำท้องถิ่น ซึ่งเป็นสิ่งที่ยากจะเลือนหายตามกาลเวลา เช่น ประเพณีวัฒนธรรมของกลุ่มชาวไทยเชื้อสายมอญ ซึ่งคุณค่าทางวัฒนธรรมนี้เป็นสิ่งที่ทำให้ชุมชนท้องถิ่นได้ตระหนักและหวงแหนวัฒนธรรมของตน โดยผ่านรูปแบบกระบวนการมีส่วนร่วมที่แสดงให้เห็นถึงลักษณะความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างชุมชนและท้องถิ่น ซึ่งถือเป็นสิ่งสำคัญในการอนุรักษ์จัดการทรัพยากรวัฒนธรรมท้องถิ่นอย่างยั่งยืน เพื่อนำทรัพยากรทางวัฒนธรรมของชุมชนที่มีอยู่ไปใช้เป็นแนวทางให้เกิดประสิทธิผลและประสิทธิภาพในเชิงเศรษฐกิจต่อไป

                 The study of “Local Culture in Samut Prakan Province” aimed to; 1) study local culture in Samut Prakan province, 2) study the appreciation level of local culture and level of people’s participation in conserving local culture in Samut Prakan province, and 3) analyze the guidelines for conserving local culture in Samut Prakan province.  The scopes of this study were to study the values of local culture in 5 districts in Samut Prakan province and to collect data according to the study’s purposes. The content analysis was conducted to analyze the results of the study according to William D. Lipe’s 4-dimensional culture values ​​to identify the values of Samut Prakan’s local culture in associative value, informational value, aesthetic value, and economic value. It was found that from the samplings of five districts in Samut Prakan province, there were 44 local culture values in which associative value or value of the past was at the highest level. Opinions on this associative value referred to symbolic values. These were cultural resources that were both concrete and abstract. They represented past and present memories appearing through local identities that were difficult to fade in time such as the culture and tradition of the Mon descendants. This cultural value is what makes local communities realize and cherish their culture which can be seen through a participatory process showing the relationship between community and local. This is significant factor in conserving local cultural resources sustainably and also in utilizing the existing cultural resources of the community as a guideline for economic efficiency and effectiveness.
