วิวัฒนาการของการคิดเชิงออกแบบ: จากกลยุทธการแก้ปัญหาของภาคธุรกิจ สู่องค์ความรู้ในภาควิชาการ และไปสู่การย่อส่วนเพื่อนำไปปฏิบัติจริงในพื้นที่ (The Evolution of Design Thinking: From Business to Academic to Community.)

Abstract

               การคิดเชิงออกแบบเป็นองค์ความรู้ที่กำลังได้รับความนิยมนำมาใช้อย่างแพร่หลายอย่างมากทั้งในองค์กรการศึกษาและภาคธุรกิจ ทั้งในไทยและต่างประเทศ

               โดยยืนยันได้จากวารสารทางวิชาการระดับโลกอย่างมหาวิยาลัยสแตนฟอร์ด (d.School) ที่ได้กล่าวว่า การคิดเชิงออกแบบเป็นวิชาหลักที่นักศึกษาของมหาวิทยาลัยทุกคนต้องเรียน และองค์กรระดับโลกอย่างแอปเปิ้ล-คอมพิวเตอร์ รวมทั้งเป็ปซี่ ฯลฯ ยังได้นำองค์ความรู้นี้ไปประยุกต์ใช้กับองค์กร

               แต่ด้วยข้อจำกัดหลายๆ อย่างแทบจะไม่มีใครรู้ถึงจุดเริ่มต้นที่ลึกซึ้งขององค์ความรู้เรื่องการคิดเชิงออกแบบเลยว่ามีที่มาเป็นอย่างไร ได้รับการปรับเปลี่ยนพัฒนาอย่างไรบ้าง ดังนั้นบทความทางวิชาการนี้จะเผยให้ทราบถึงจุดเริ่มต้น พัฒนาการ จวบจนวิวัฒนาการล่าสุดของการคิดเชิงออกแบบ จากบุคคลสำคัญที่เกี่ยวข้องในการสร้างสรรค์องค์ความรู้เรื่องการคิดในเชิงออกแบบ

               ผลการศึกษาทำให้ทราบแนวความคิดของบุคคลสำคัญที่เกี่ยวข้องในการสร้างสรรค์องค์ความรู้เรื่องการคิดเชิงออกแบบในภาคธุรกิจ และวิวัฒนาการการปรับปรุงเพื่อใช้เรียนในองค์กรการศึกษา และสิ่งสำคัญคือองค์ความรู้นี้ได้มีการต่อยอด ในการนำไปใช้จริงกับทุกชนชั้น แม้กับผู้ที่ไม่รู้หนังสือในถิ่นทุรกันดาร ซึ่งยังสามารถได้รับผลลัพธ์ที่ดีเช่นเดิม

            Design Thinking has become a must-know ability in today’s fast-moving, ever-changing and competitive world. It has been widely used in organizations and institutions around the globe, including, Thailand.

            Just how important is Design Thinking? Stanford University (d.School), a world renown university, has incorporated Design Thinking class into their curriculum. It has become one of the core subjects with mandatory participation. Furthermore, world class firms such as Apple, Pepsi and etc. have recognized its significance, they have integrated Design Thinking as a part of their working process and new product development.

            Unfortunately, the development of Design Thinking has not been given much attention.  This article will reveal the development process and its continuous improvements, in other words, the evolution of Design Thinking.

            Design Thinking has provided excellent outcomes in improving working process, developing product and etc. for public sector, private sector, educational sector as well as for the local Thai community.
