มุมมองสภาพสังคมเขมร ผ่านภาพสลักนางอัปสราที่ปราสาทนครวัด / The study of Apsaras at Angkor Wat: reflecting the social of Khmer people

Abstract

บทคัดย่อ

ผ้านุ่งสมัยนครวัด เป็นสมัยแรกที่ปรากฏลวดลายต่างๆ เช่น ลายดอกไม้ ลายตารางบนผ้านุ่ง ตลอดจนรูปแบบการนุ่งที่แตกต่างจากศิลปะก่อนหน้า จากการศึกษารวบรวมข้อมูล ตลอดจนการวิเคราะห์รูปแบบของผ้านุ่งนางนางอัปสราทำให้เข้าถึงโครงสร้างและบริบททางสังคมสมัยนครวัด อันทำให้เข้าใจสภาพสังคมสมัยนั้นได้ดียิ่งขึ้น

จากผลการศึกษาทำให้ทราบว่า รูปแบบและลวดลายของผ้านุ่งนางอัปสราที่ปราสาทนครวัดมีความแตกต่างจากศิลปะก่อนหน้า เนื่องจากได้รับอิทธิพลมาจากต่างชาติ คือ อินเดียและจีน อันสะท้อนถึงความสัมพันธ์กับต่างชาติในสมัยนครวัดที่มีผลต่อการแต่งกายของประชาชนในอาณาจักร และรูปแบบดังกล่าวได้ส่งต่อไปยังศิลปะสมัยหลัง เช่น ศิลปะแบบบายน แสดงถึงความนิยมด้านรูปแบบและลวดลายของผ้านุ่งที่ยังคงสืบเนื่อง ทั้งยังแสดงถึงวิธีชิวิต การแต่งกาย ระบบชนชั้นของสังคมเขมรสมัยนครวัด ผ่านทางรูปแบบและลวดลายผ้านางนางอัปสรา เนื่องจาก “ผ้า คือ ชีวิต” และทุกชีวิตผูกพันกับผ้า” ดังนั้น การศึกษาเรื่องบริบททางสังคม วิธีชีวิตและความเชื่อ จึงสามารถศึกษาได้จากผืนผ้า ลวดลายและรูปแบบ

Abstract

The evolution of costume and accessories of Apsara bas-relief had changed from many factors until the Art of Angkor Wat. Apsara garments at Angkor Wat are decorating with small flower patterns and square patterns. More importantly, these patterns never appear in any previous eras until the art of Angkor Wat.

The results of this research are: The differences between Apsara’s skirts of Angkor Wat may be attributed to the diffusion of India and China influences, which reflected the relationship between the royal court of King Suryavarman II and those foreign countries. Nevertheless, Apsara’s skirts also reflect the fashion of female dresses in each era.

On the other hands, the differences between each Apsara styles reflect unequal hierarchy among of Apsaras and reflect the division of social classes during the era of King Suryavarman II.
