ความหลากหลายของทรัพยากรธรรมชาติ สู่ความมั่นคงทางอาหารของชุมชนเพียลาด อำเภอสังทอง นครหลวงเวียงจันทน์/The variety of natural resources to food security of Pialat Community, Sangthong District, Vientiane Capital of the Lao People's Democratic Republic

บทคัดย่อ

งานวิจัยนี้ มีจุดประสงค์ เพื่อศึกษาถึงความหลากหลายของทรัพยากรธรรมชาติ ที่ส่งผลให้เกิดความมั่นคงทางด้านอาหารของชุมชนเพียลาด อำเภอสังทอง นครหลวงเวียงจันทน์ สปป. ลาว โดยมีกรอบแนวคิดในด้านความหลากหลายของทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและความมั่นคงทางอาหารของชุมชน เกิดจากความหลากหลายของทรัพยากรธรรมชาติในชุมชนที่มีความอุดมสมบูรณ์

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ในชุมชนเพียลาด มีแหล่งทรัพยากรธรรมชาติที่หลากหลายและอุดมสมบูรณ์ มีเขตติดกับป่าสงวนแห่งชาติพูพนังที่มีความหลากหลายทางชีวภาพทั้งพืชและสัตว์นานาชนิด สำหรับเป็นอาหาร และสินค้าให้แก่ชาวชุมชน เนื่องจากที่ตั้งภูมิศาสตร์ของชุมชนค่อนไปทางภาคเหนือจึงทำให้พื้นที่อำเภอสังทองชุมชนเพียลาดมีอากาศเย็น และดินมีความชุ่มชื้นเหมาะสมต่อการเพาะปลูกพืชพรรณธัญญาหาร มีลำน้ำสัง และน้ำตอนเป็นแหล่งอาศัยของปลาและสัตว์น้ำจำนวนมาก นอกจากนั้นชาวชุมชนเพียลาดยังใช้พื้นที่ตามลำน้ำสำหรับเพาะปลูกพืชผักต่างๆ ชาวชุมชนไม่เพียงแต่นำเอาผักเหล่านั้นมาใช้เพื่อบริโภคเท่านั้น แต่ยังมีผลผลิตส่วนเกินเพื่อจำหน่ายเป็นรายได้ ด้วยความอุดมสมบูรณ์ของทรัพยากรธรรมชาติทำให้ชาวชุมชนเพียลาดมีความมั่นคงด้านอาหารได้ในระดับหนึ่งกล่าวคือ นอกจากชาวชุมชนได้เข้าป่าเพื่อหาผัก หาสัตว์ป่า ได้หาปลาตามลำน้ำ ได้ทำนาปลูกข้าว ปลูกผัก เลี้ยงสัตว์ ส่งผลให้ชาวชุมชนเพียลาดมีอาหารเพียงพอต่อความต้องการของชุมชนตลอดปี

Abstract

This Research aims at studying the important element of resources variety that contributed to food security in Pialat Community, Sangthong District, Vientiane Capital of the Lao PDR, with the approach that the food security are from riches and variety of resources available in the community.

The Research result has found that Pialat community is covered with rich and wide variety of resources and share border with the Reserved Forest of PhaNang Mountain (Phu PhaNang) where there are rich of natural flora and fauna that be food and goods for community people. Because Pialat site in the northern part of Laos so the weather is cool and good cultivated soil that is suitable for food plantation and cultivation. there are Nam Sang and Nam Ton rivers in Pialat community where fish and aquatic animals live; there for community people use The river banks for vegetable cultivation. The vegetables that community people plant to be not only for the community daily consumption, but also for trading in the market.

As being a community with rich and wide variety of resources, in one stage, the community people in Pialat has food security. This can be enlightened that besides looking for wild vegetables and wild animals as they source of food, Pialat Community people can access other sources of daily food consumption through fishing, vegetable cultivation along the river banks, rice plantation and animal breading, thus contributing to meeting the needs of their daily food consumption.
