บทคัดย่อ

           บทความนี้มุ่งอธิบายถึงความปลอดภัยและความรู้สึกปลอดภัยจากอาชญากรรมในสภาพแวดล้อมชุมชนอยู่อาศัยย่านเก่า ในกรุงเทพมหานคร เนื่องจากประเด็นดังกล่าวมีความสำคัญที่แสดงถึงความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างกายภาพกับพฤติกรรมมนุษย์ และสังคมในชุมชนอยู่อาศัยย่านเก่าในเมือง   รวมทั้งเชื่อมโยงถึงบริบทโดยรอบ   อันมีผลต่อคุณภาพชีวิตของประชากร และมีผลสำคัญมากต่อการพัฒนาและฟื้นฟูพื้นที่ชุมชนย่านเก่าในเมือง  โดยกำหนดพื้นที่ศึกษา คือ  ชุมชน ตรอกศิลป์-ตรอกตึกดิน  ในเขตพระนคร มีการดำเนินการศึกษาโดยใช้วิธีการลงสำรวจ การสังเกต และการสัมภาษณ์กลุ่มผู้อยู่อาศัยในชุมชน ซึ่งประกอบไปด้วยกลุ่มคนดั้งเดิมและแรงงานย้ายถิ่น 

            ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ชุมชนตรอกศิลป์-ตรอกตึกดิน นับเป็นชุมชนที่มีสภาพปลอดภัยจากอาชญากรรมและมีความสอดคล้องกับความรู้สึกปลอดภัยของผู้อยู่อาศัยที่มีต่อชุมชน  โดยปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อความรู้สึกปลอดภัยนั้นมีระดับความสำคัญแตกต่างกันตามกลุ่มประชากร  และมีลักษณะสภาพแวดล้อมทางกายภาพและเงื่อนไขสังคมบางอย่างสามารถช่วยทดแทนความรู้สึกไม่ปลอดภัยที่มีต่อสภาพแวดล้อมทางกายภาพลักษณะที่เสี่ยงต่อการเกิดอาชญากรรมในชุมชนได้  

Abstract

This article aims to explain about safety and sense of safety from crime in the environment of old Community in Bangkok as this matter significantly and clearly represents the relationship between physical and behavioral aspect of people, as well as its linkage to the context surrounding the community, resulting in the quality of life of life of people and the condition of community and urban, as well as significantly affecting to the development and recovery of the old Community. The case study determined was Trok Sin – Trok Tuk Din Community in Phra Nakhon District. This research involves field survey, observation, and interview with local people, including both native people and migrant  workers.   

                 As a result, it was found that Trok Sin–Trok Tuk Din Community was considered safe area from crime, consistent with the sense of safety occupants had with the community. Factors affecting sense of safety are varied in many levels of significant, subject to a group of population. Physical environmental condition and some social conditions could replace unsafe feeling towards physical environment which was risky to have crime happening in the community.
