บทคัดย่อ

          นิทานพื้นบ้านนอกจากจะให้ความบันเทิงใจให้กับผู้ที่ได้อ่านแล้ว ยังสะท้อนให้เห็นภาพของความเชื่อ  ขนบธรรมเนียมประเพณีและวัฒนธรรมของคนในท้องถิ่นนั้น รวมถึงข้อมูลอื่นที่เกี่ยวข้อง  นิทานพื้นบ้านเขมรที่เกี่ยวข้องกับแหล่งประวัติศาสตร์และโบราณคดี แม้ว่าจะเป็นเรื่องเล่าที่สร้างขึ้นเพื่อความบันเทิง แต่ผู้แต่งนิทานก็ได้ใช้ภูมิปัญญาและจินตนาการสร้างเรื่องและดำเนินเรื่องได้อย่างแนบเนียน เหมาะสม สอดคล้องกับลักษณะทางกายภาพตลอดจนสิ่งแวดล้อมของแหล่งประวัติศาสตร์และโบราณคดีนั้นได้เป็นอย่างดี ซึ่งมีส่วนช่วยให้คนเขมรทราบเรื่องราวอดีตของตนอีกทางหนึ่ง

Abstract

            Besides giving entertainments to the readers, folk tales, still reflect local beliefs, traditions, cultures including information related. Khmer folk tales related to the history and archeology. Although it is a narrative built for entertainment, the author has also wisdom and imagination to create stories and proceed as realistically match the physical characteristics of the environment as well as the history and archeology. This contributes to Khmer people to know their own past in other way.
