บทคัดย่อ

            สังคมไทยในปัจจุบันเป็นยุคแห่งโลกาภิวัฒน์ที่มีระบบทุนนิยมขับเคลื่อนให้เกิดการแข่งขัน ทำให้วิถีชีวิตของคนไทยในด้านความเจริญทางจิตใจ ไม่มีความสมดุลกับความเจริญทางวัตถุ ผู้คนหลงลืมหลักธรรมของศาสนาจนเกิดเป็นปัญหาพฤติกรรมที่ไม่พึงประสงค์ในที่สุด สิ่งเหล่านี้สะท้อนให้เห็นถึงการไม่บรรลุผลสำเร็จตามจุดหมายของการศึกษาในด้านคุณธรรมจริยธรรมอย่างชัดเจน ดังนั้นกระบวนการจัดการเรียนรู้ตามแนวพุทธศาสตร์สำหรับครูสังคมศึกษาเพื่อปลูกฝังจริยธรรมในผู้เรียนยุคศตวรรษที่ 21 จึงเป็นแนวทางสำคัญเพื่อสร้างจิตสำนึกให้เด็กและเยาวชนยุคใหม่ให้รู้เท่าทันการเปลี่ยนแปลงต่าง ๆ ในด้านความรู้ ทักษะ และเจตคติที่ดีในการนำหลักธรรมทางพระพุทธศาสนามาประยุกต์ใช้ในการดำเนินชีวิตเพื่อช่วยหล่อหลอมพฤติกรรมของพลเมือง ให้สามารถอยู่รวมกันในสังคมด้วยความสงบสุขและเจริญก้าวหน้าของประเทศชาติสืบต่อไป

Abstract

            Thailand’s globalized society today is dependent on capitalism in driving the economy of the country. Too much dependence on such a system causes an imbalance between material progress and the mental well-being of the people. People have abandoned the principles of religion in leading their life and the situation has caused the problem of unwanted behaviors. This clearly reflects a total failure of education in achieving the goal in shaping morality in the people.  Therefore, it is essential for educators to come up with the Buddhism-based process of learning management for social studies teachers to instill ethics in students of the 21st century. This is aimed at creating awareness among children and young generation to cope with various changes in the knowledge, skills and positive attitude in applying the principles of Buddhism in their everyday life. Such an application helps shape the behavior of citizens and enables them to live in peace and for the prosperity of the nation.
