Focus and Scope

Area Based Development Research Journal is an academic journal. Its objective is to create a medium for researchers to disseminate their scholarly studies about the area based development research and to establish a channel of communication among researchers of their scholarly studies about the area based development research and to establish a channel of communication among researchers of their scholarly studies about the area based development research and to establish a channel of communication among researchers of diverse fields. As well as it aims to advertise new knowledge to the public.

Types of Contributions

The journal publishes two types of contributions without publication fee.

- Research Article

- Invited Article

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Publication Frequency

The journal releases 6 issues per year;

  • No. 1 January-February
  • No. 2 March-April
  • No. 3 May-June
  • No. 4 July-August
  • No. 5 September-October
  • No. 6 November-December

Peer Review Process

- Each submitted manuscript is initially screened eithor by Editor or Associate Editor. 

- All manuscripts, passing the screen, are doulble-blinded reviewed by at least two independent reviewers.

- Editor decides if the revised manuscript is accepted, rejected or sent for second round review.

Journal History

Area Based Development Research Journal has been commissioned by The Thailand Research Fund since 2008 as a showcase of Area-based Collaborative (ABC) Research implemented for the benefits of local communities.
