Abstract

This research aims to study the level of happiness and factors affecting work happiness to
be used in the enhancing happiness model in the personnel of Walailak University. With a sample
of 295 staff members who performed duties to the university by simple random sampling. The
questionnaire was used as a tool to collect data. Data were analyzed by frequency, percentage,
mean, standard deviation and Chi-Square.
The Findings indicated that the personnel had a high level of happiness in work performance
in both overall and individual aspects. It also found that personal factors of work experience and
employment status only correlated with overall happiness was a statistically significant difference
at 0.05 level. In terms of individual aspects, it was found that only personal factors related to
employment status were related to happiness in happy money, happy relax and happy work life.
In addition, it is found that the employment status will have a relation with the happiness of the
work as a whole. Therefore, the researcher created a model for enhancing the happiness of working
for the university personnel by focusing on enhancing the happiness of working through health
promotion activities about happy money, happy relax and happy work life.
