Abstract

The objectives of this research were to study the characteristics of learning organization and study on factors affecting the learning organization of the private university. The sample group consisted of 202 full-time members of faculties from the private university by stratified random sampling. The instrument for data collection was a questionnaire. Data acquired from this study were analyzed by using Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation, The hypotheses were tested by the method of Stepwise Multiple Regression Analysis. The research findings revealed that : 1) The level of learning organization of the private university was high (Mean = 3.91, S.D. = 0.530), ranked form the highest to lowest as follows ; Mental Model (Mean = 3.93, S.D. = 0.553), Personal Mastery (Mean = 3.92, S.D. = 0.537), System Thinking (Mean = 3.84, S.D. = 0.602), Team Learning (Mean = 3.75, S.D. = 0.664) and Shared vision (Mean = 3.31, S.D. = 0.81) 2) The Factors influenced to the learning organization consisted of a components : Leadership and Promotion, Co-operation, Reward and Punishment.
